We're Still Looking For a Few Great People!

One of the highlights of Printing Week events is recognizing those in the graphic arts industry who have made a notable contribution not only in our industry, but also to their communities. Each of our three regions searches for, nominates and gives a prestigious award to a deserving recipient.

It is time to set our sights on next year’s recipients. Each region is now accepting nominations for their respective awards. Who do you think stands out among the rest? Nominate him/her or the company for a deserving recognition. The criteria, mailing information and deadlines are listed below. NOTE that we'll accept nominations for a few more days.

North — Hall of Distinction
gacEach year the Printing Industries of Ohio • N.Kentucky, in collaboration with the Graphic Arts Council of Cleveland, recognizes outstanding individuals of the Ohio graphic arts community who have given of their time and talents to help further the goals of the Graphic Arts Community by honoring them with membership in the Hall of Distinction.  These individuals represent the best the industry has to offer and are selected based on the following criteria:

Central — Franklinton Award
In the early 1970s, the Printing Industry of Central Ohio and the Columbus Club of Printing House Craftsmen created the Franklinton Award to be presented to individuals or groups who have made outstanding public contributions to the Central Ohio community. The first award, named in honor of Benjamin Franklin, the patron figure of the American printing industry, was awarded in 1974.

In 2008, the Printing Industries of Ohio • N.Kentucky began presenting this prestigious award to a member of the industry who had made significant contributions to our central Ohio graphic arts community as opposed to a community leader/contributor.
