The Printing Industries of Ohio • N.Kentucky Printers' Day at the Fair and the Leadership and Management Conference will be here before you know it. The conference is set for August 4th, 5th, and 6th at Quest Business and Conference Center in Columbus.
We will have some fantastic presenters from the Printing Industries of America who will bring their perspective on vital industry-specific topics of the day.
This week we highlight the luncheon program as well as an afternoon presentation from Xerox and EFI on ink-jet printing.
Luncheon Panel Discussion
The Luncheon program on Monday, August 5th, is a panel discussion that will take a focused look at the upcoming Affordable Care Act, popularly known as ObamaCare. The details of this legislation can profoundly affect your company’s business practices. On the panel will be:
- Paul Nachtwey, Todd Associates, will bring an in-depth knowledge of healthcare economics and financial services and how they interrelate with employer- sponsored health benefit plans.
- Randy Spaulding, Spaulding Brokerage Services, has 22 years of benefits experience, applying solutions that enhance benefit programs in cost and quality.
- Jeffrey D. Smith, Fisher & Phillips, is a legal consultant in retirement and health care plans, COBRA & HIPAA as well as other employment health benefit programs.
- Jim Kyger, Printing Industries of America, joins the panel with his extensive knowledge of human and industrial relations, compensation and benefits issues.

Breakout Session on Ink-Jet Printing
We’d also like to highlight one of our afternoon break-out sessions featuring a special presentation on one of the newest and fastest growing printing segments – Ink-jet Printing. John Conley, VP of Publishing and Commercial Print at Xerox and Patrick Morrissey, Senior Director of Sales for EFI INKJET will team up to bring you Dynamics of Success In The Emerging Ink-jet Marketplace.
John Conley is the Vice President of Publishing and Commercial Print at Xerox Corporation. John is responsible for developing and implementing the programs and strategies which help grow the digital print and services solutions business with Commercial Printers, Book Publishers, Retailers and Book Printers worldwide.
Patrick Morrissey is currently the Senior Director of Sales for EFI INKJET with responsibilities for grand and wide format printers, digital label printers, ink-jet software integration and ink sales. Patrick is a 25-year graphic arts sales and marketing industry veteran with specific experience in bringing emerging capital equipment technologies and innovative sales processes together to create superior financial results.
