Andy Paparozzi to Speak at 2020 Leadership Conference
Join Andy Paparozzi as he presents Printing Industry Economic Outlook 2021. He will talk about results of the most recent COVID-19 Print Business Indicators Survey, including trends in sales, quote activity, confidence and other key indicators, why our industry is likely to get a boost from the American economy in 2021, and why it is important to begin preparing now for the post-COVID world. Bottom line: An upturn is coming but we either prepare for it or get left behind.
Andrew D. Paparozzi’s responsibilities include analyzing and reporting on the trends, whether economic, technological, social, or demographic, that will define the printing industry’s future and the actions company owners can take to make those trends opportunities rather than threats.
His most important responsibility, however, is being an observer of our industry, listening carefully to the issues and concerns of company owners, executives, and managers.
Mr. Paparozzi joined SGIA in July 2018. Previously, he worked 31 years at the National Association for Printing Leadership (NAPL), where he developed the Association’s State of the Industry Series, Capital Investment Report, and numerous other studies on the commercial printing industry’s performance and prospects. He has also taught mathematics, statistics, and economics at various colleges.
Mr. Paparozzi is a Phi Beta Kappa, summa cum laude graduate of Boston College, holding a Bachelor's degree in economics. He also holds a Master's degree in economics, with concentrations in econometrics and public finance, from Columbia University.

This conference has received rave reviews for a number of years and promises to be another fantastic LEARNING experience. Even though it will be structured a little differently this year, there will still be plenty of NETWORKING opportunities with your Association and industry peers!
Nationally known speakers will be presenting via Zoom and as a conference attendee, you can choose to attend from your office, conference room or in-person. If you’re tired of virtual, virtual, virtual and would like to safely network with your friends and peers, then join us in person! Michigan members can attend in West Bloomfield Township at the Marshbank Lodge and Ohio & Kentucky members can join us in Westerville, Ohio at the Everal Barn and Homestead. We have reserved these beautiful all-weather, safety-minded outdoor meeting facilities to host our great networking and educational events. GMA staff and Board members will welcome Michigan and regional members and friends to view the Zoomed presentations together, while enjoying refreshments, lunch and in-person interactions. Between the national Zoom presentations, local activities will include regional speakers, raffles and contests. PEA Best of Category and Best of Show winners will be recognized during the Millcraft Grand Ceremony presentation immediately following lunch, and winners can receive their awards in-person if attending the local conference site.

Golf
The Annual Graphic Media Alliance Sterling Distribution Golf Tournament will be held at the Delaware Golf Club in Delaware, Ohio (just north of Columbus) on Monday, September 21! The original nine holes at Delaware were designed by famed golf architect, Donald Ross, and the newer nine by Fuzzy Zoeller. Delaware is a unique and challenging course that will set the stage for a great day of golf.
This is an IN-PERSON tournament just like every year and will be an incredible opportunity to get out and enjoy a great round of golf and networking, not to mention the great food and drink!
