Topic:             How Are You Growing Sales?

Presenter:      John Raithel, Colorbar

The need to develop new accounts and increase workflow is not a new demand on our businesses. Since the first job was printed on an automatic printing machine, we realized the extra capacity that technology provided, so we embarked on a never-ending quest to develop new business. New business was and is vital for growth and ultimately the survival of our companies.

We will discuss at 4 basic ways of increasing sales for an organization that are commonly accepted.

  1. Organic growth
  2. More work from existing clients
  3. Tuck-in another company
  4. Hire salespeople who have an existing book of business

John Raithel is president of Colorbar Inc., a company serving the printing community. His 35 years’ experience in printing and sales provides a fresh approach to help achieve success in today changing printing industry.

Topic:             How to Value Your Business

Presenter:      Jim Russell, New Direction Partners

  • Do you want to know the value of your business?
  • Would you like to understand how a buyer will determine value and how you can increase that value?
  • Does your company still have value even if you are operating at a breakeven level or a loss?

Everyone should understand how to value their company. Whether you plan to pass your business on to your children, sell it in the near future, or transition the company 10 or more years from now, you should understand how the company is valued today, and how to increase that value over time.

Join us for this hands-on breakfast forum where Jim Russell from New Direction Partners will discuss how value is determined and walk us step-by-step through the two most common ways that printing companies are valued by buyers today. Bring your pencils, calculators and financial statements if you’d like to do the work on-site, or just come prepared to take thorough notes as Jim walks us through detailed examples of how a profitable (and perhaps an unprofitable) company would be valued in today’s merger & acquisition marketplace.

Breakfast forums are free for members. Contact Rachel Rossman at 888-576-1971 or rrossman@pianko.org to sign up!
