Printing Industries of America has just published the 2017 Survey of Management Information Software, marking the 13th consecutive year it has produced this free, useful guide for members.
From PIA: We have completed the 2018 Survey of Management Information Systems, marking the twelve consecutive year we have produced this free, useful guide for members. The survey results are compiled from questionnaires sent to MIS software vendors, documenting the functionality, cost, and other pertinent information for the vast majority of software packages. This year’s edition features 45 software solutions.

WhatTheyThink? published a related article this week, "Succeeding in Spite of Print Software's Weaknesses." The content is restricted to premium subscriptions, but the gist of it was that companies can have a culture where the trend is to "look for ways to succeed," or they can "look for reasons why it won't work." Think about having a mindset of success with the software and perhaps adapting your workflow to allow the software to be most effective.
