Missing the Ohio State Fair

The Association recently received this message through the PIA online contact form:

Hello.  Your company has held displays at the Ohio State Fair for years. You were not there this year. I ask the information guy that you are one of the reasons I come to the fair. He replied, "You and about 200 other people.. Yes, the primary reason is because of the wonderful OSU football schedules you provide as a means of advertising. I don't know if being there never paid dividends in new customers or not. I know that I preach about the use of paper IS a good thing and not bad because of it. I also have visited this site a number of times throughout the years. I work for the State of Ohio. But yes, I really look forward to getting the schedule from the "Paper booth" every year. Please come back next year.  And if by chance you did make/produce the schedule, please send at least one (if not a few) to [my address]. By the way, if you guys come back, I promise you that if you charge even just $1 dollar for the schedules (for production cost), they will absolutely sell. I know I would spend at least $5, if not $10 for them. And the use of paper is good for the economy and ecologically as well (I learned that from your representative). Have a great day.

Over the past few weeks, the Association has received numerous calls and queries about our booth at the fair, and Printer's Day at the Fair.  We've also had a lot of calls and drop-ins to our state office from people looking for Ohio State football schedules (including three calls just today!).

Although we are not longer working with the fair, we are glad to see that the events and giveaways we participated in were memorable and left an impression on printers and the general public.

Thanks to everyone who donated their materials, printing work and their time to make these events so successful!
