Material Handler

Location: The Watkins Printing Company, 1401 East 17th Avenue, Columbus, OH 43211
Celebrating 100 Years in 2022!
We are looking for a self-motivated and professional Material Handler for our new Press. If you are a hardworking individual who can complete tasks successfully with little to no supervision, then we are interested in you. In this position, you will be responsible for tracking warehouse paper stock, storing materials and documenting orders.
Responsibilities:
- Load and unload inventory from loading docks, delivery trucks, storage areas, and production areas.
- Ensure all incoming delivery matches the company purchase order.
- Store paper in assigned locations using cargo boards and pallets.
- Manage inventory by identifying, cataloging, and recording the location of inventory.
- Record the number of units handled and moved every day using production sheets.
- Forklifts
- Track supply levels
- Comply with all safety and health regulations.
Requirements:
- A minimum of 2 years' experience in a similar role.
- Occupational Safety & Health Administration (OSHA) forklift certification is an advantage.
- Excellent physical fitness with the ability to lift up to a maximum of 100 pounds.
- Availability to work different shifts and overtime.
Job Description: The right candidate will possess the ability to multi-task and have a desire to produce quality products while adhering to scheduling deadlines. Previous press/ bindery experience is preferred, but we are willing to train the right individual. This position requires attention to detail regarding products and associated material requirements. This position operates under general supervision of lead press operator and production coordinator. Will be required to perform other duties and work in other departments when needed.
Schedule: 1st and 2nd shift opportunity, M-F, 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM and 3:00 PM to 11:00 PM
Union Position, Excellent Benefits, $17.57 an Hour
